i have a Samsung SGH-E251, which puts a maximum limit on the size of Java application that can be installed. it seems i cannot change the settings. when i click on some jads for jars over about 250 KB, it says jar file over maximum size. is there a solution to run the jar file or to install it into the memory card instead which has 1 GB memory.

what is the typical maximum size of an application that can be installed on a mobile phone.

Hello all,

I'm looking for a phone which supports chinese handwriting + character recognition (both traditional/simplified), as well as another locale (english/dutch, don't care much).

I know the iPhone does that, but I'm looking for options here. iPhones are only available on one carrier here, unless I buy one off of eBay (which I don't really prefer).

So, does anyone have any good tips? How's the Android support for this for instance? I've got a HTC Touch HD at the moment, and that's not really going to work I think.

Thanks for the effort!

I'm trying to do a remote desktop (mstsc) from my Symbian phone.
Is it possible without installing client-side application on my PC?

If not possible, does Android or Maemo support it?

there are some buildings in my institute where i do not get a good Mobile phone network. Just outside the building the network is superb but as you start entering the building the network starts fading and once inside i would be really lucky if i am able to connect. some people suggest that it is due to the thick walls on the outside. there are no jammers within the building. i have a GSM handset and in case it matters i am using AirTel sim card in India. what's more some of my friends old handsets get slightly better network coverage within these buildings so that they can receive and make calls. also they are using the phones from the same operator.

but on the whole everybody complains about bad network coverage inside these buildings.

also there was one such building in which after i entered the network disappeared (only with my phone) and after i went outside it didn't come unless i restarted my phone. suddenly this problem was corrected one day and it started catching the signals inside that building also.

i am using Samsung SGH E-251.

what could be the reason for bad network coverage just inside these buildings? nobody has given me a clear answer. can it be corrected using some simple technique.
