Check the manufacturer's website for your Wi-Fi router for firmware or software updates.

Verify the Wi-Fi router can broadcast an 802.11b/g signal. If using a 802.11n Wi-Fi router, consult the manual/documentation for how to configure the Wi-Fi router for 802.11b/g compatibility.

If you are using multiple WEP keys on your Wi-Fi router, try configuring your Wi-Fi router to use only a single WEP key.

Try or resetting (or turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router. Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.

Disable wireless encryption or security on the Wi-Fi router to rule out encryption issues. If this resolves the issue, try using a different encryption or security protocol.

I'm not sure if there is an app that will work like Disk Utility, but I will do some more research.

Method to Scrub All Personal Data

The trick is simple. Scrub the memory yourself by adding new data redundantly in the same location. This is not official but you can count on it 100%.

Use the restore option in iTunes to Restore Phone from within iTunes.

un-check all the choices on the “Info” tab. So it won’t synchronize personal information you’re your calendars, electronic mails, confidential contacts or your highly secret bookmarks.

On the tabs named Photos, Podcasts and Video, uncheck the synchronize option (sync).

Form 3 big playlists with the size matching the maximum capacity of your phone

On the Music tab, select the first of your 3 playlists to synchronize with the phone. Note whether the memory storage bar at the bottom looks full after finishing.

Repeat the step 5 for the remaining playlists

That does it all. Your data is gone for good.

Why 3 Times:

The reason is iPhones NAND flash work different than a hard drive. Instead of overwriting in the freed space it uses memory blocks that are not used recently and this continues till it wraps around and starts from the beginning.

Synchronizing 3 big playlists must make certain that the flash memory has wrapped around thus guarantee that any of the private information you had stocked up is cleaned out by fresh data. I strongly suggest everyone to do this before selling their iPhones.

http://phonehow.com/questions/96/how-do-you-add-new-calendars-to-iphone/97#97Answer by debug for How do you add new calendars to iPhone?debug2009-11-09T18:34:36Z2010-04-07T08:27:53Z
Yes, robinator. You can only add new calendars through a local program on your computer, or Mobile Me, if you have the service. There should be a feature to add new calendars, but I guess Apple likes to be different. Some info below,

About Calendar

Calendar lets you view individual calendars for your different accounts or a combined calendar for all accounts. You can view your events in a continuous list, by day, or by month, and search events by title, invitee, or location.

You can sync iPhone with the calendars on your computer. You can also make, edit, or cancel appointments on iPhone, and have them synced back to your computer. You can subscribe to Google, Yahoo!, or Mac OS X iCal calendars using a CalDAV or iCalendar (.ics) account. If you have a Microsoft Exchange account, you can receive and respond to meeting invitations.

Syncing Calendars

You can sync Calendar in either of the following ways:

In iTunes, use the iPhone preference panes to sync with iCal or Microsoft Entourage on a Mac, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC when you connect iPhone to your computer.

In Settings on iPhone, select Calendar in your MobileMe or Microsoft Exchange accounts to sync your calendar information over the air.

Viewing Your Calendar

You can view individual calendars for your different accounts or a combined calendar for all accounts.

View a different calendar:

Tap Calendars, then select a calendar. Tap All Calendars to view combined events from all calendars.

You can view your calendar events in a list, by day, or by month. The events for all of your synced calendars appear in the same calendar on iPhone.
Switch views:

Tap List, Day, or Month.

List view: All your appointments and events appear in a scrollable list.

Day view: Scroll up or down to see the events in a day. Tap or to see the previous or next day’s events.

Month view: Tap a day to see its events. Tap orto see the
previous or next month.

See the details of an event:

Tap the event.

Set iPhone to adjust event times for a selected time zone:

In Settings, choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.”

Under Calendars, tap Time Zone Support, then turn Time Zone Support on.

Tap Time Zone and search for a major city in the time zone you want.

When Time Zone Support is on, Calendar displays event dates and times in the time zone of the city you selected. When Time Zone Support is off, Calendar displays events in the time zone of your current location as determined by the network time.

Subscribing to and Sharing Calendars

You can subscribe to calendars that use the CalDAV or iCalendar (.ics) formats. Many calendar-based services, including Yahoo!, Google, and the Mac OS X iCal application, support either format.

Subscribed calendars are read only. You can read events from subscribed calendars on iPhone, but can’t edit them or create new events. You also can’t accept invitations from CalDAV accounts.

Subscribe to a CalDAV or .ics calendar:

In Settings, choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” then tap Add Account.

Choose Other, then choose either Add CalDAV Account or Add Subscribed Calendar.

Enter your account information, then tap Next to verify the account.

Tap Save.

Apple provides links to a number of free iCal calendars—for national holidays or sports events, for example—that you may want to subscribe to. The calendars are automatically added to iCal on your desktop when you download them. Go to www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars.

You can also subscribe to an iCal (or other .ics) calendar published on the web by tapping a link to the calendar you receive in an email or text message on iPhone.

Adding Calendar Events to iPhone

You can also enter and edit calendar events directly on iPhone.
Add an event:

Tap and enter event information, then tap Done.

You can enter any of the following:

Title

Location

Starting and ending times (or turn on All-day if it’s an all-day event)

Repeat times—none, or every day, week, two weeks, month, or year

Alert time—from five minutes to two days before the event

Heading

When you set an alert, the option to set a second alert appears. When an alert goes off, iPhone displays a message. You can also set iPhone to play a sound (see Alerts).**

IMPORTANT: Some carriers don’t support network time in all locations. If you’re traveling, iPhone may not alert you at the correct local time. To manually set the correct time.

To select which calendar to add the event to, tap Calendar. Read-only calendars don’t appear in the list.

Edit an event:

Tap the event, then tap Edit.

Delete an event:

Tap the event, tap Edit, then scroll down and tap Delete Event.

Responding to Meeting Invitations

If you have a Microsoft Exchange account set up on iPhone with Calendars enabled, you can receive and respond to meeting invitations from people in your organization. When you receive an invitation, the meeting appears in your calendar with a dotted line around it. The Invitation icon in the lower-right corner of the screen indicates the total number of new invitations you have, as does the Calendar icon on the Home screen.

Respond to an invitation in Calendar:

It's a iPod + phone. It all depends though on what you want. Android is a open-source, which allows for open development, and has little to no restrictions, unlike the iPhone. If your not a hacker, then maybe the iphone is your best choice, as you really have all you need, and its a great product; game changer. Notice how I did not mentioned the Blackberry Storm :)

Changing the interface

Third-party software can also be used to add items to the Today screen and to give your Windows Mobile phone an entirely new interface. As originally installed, your Windows Mobile Today screen looks something like this:

Windows Mobile Today screen as originally installed on a Windows Mobile 6 phone

It does not include shortcuts to programs, instant weather updates, or detailed information about your battery life. But third-party developers have made plug-in programs for the Today screen that can provide more in-depth information and shortcuts. One example of this is the Spb Pocket Plus (from http://spbsoftwarehouse.com), which looks like this:

Windows Mobile Today screen with Spb Pocket Plus installed on a Windows Mobile 6 phone

Each of the stars is a tab that provides a shortcut to battery life, programs, recently viewed web pages, and more.

Another popular Today screen program is the Omega One Battery Pack Pro from.

Windows Mobile Today screen with Battery Pack Pro installed

Users can also download alternative interfaces for Windows Mobile. Two of the best alternative interfaces are the Spb Mobile Shell from and WisBar Advance Desktop from.

Windows Mobile Today screen, with Spb Mobile Shell installed (left) and with WisBar Advance Desktop installed (right)

These customized screens provide the same information as the Today screen plug-ins but with a more streamlined interface.

http://phonehow.com/questions/167/whats-new-in-beta-6What's new in beta 6?debug2010-01-19T21:56:34Z2010-01-19T21:56:34Z

A couple of big features: Bootstrap Mode and Email-Password logins and a raft of bug fixes.

Bootstrap Mode

Bootstrap mode lets admins relax reputation requirements for participation while they get their site started. During Bootstrap Mode all users can:

Post Questions

Post Answers

Comment

Create Tags

Re-Tag Questions

Vote

Bootstrap mode will be enabled by default on newly created sites (those created after beta 6 is fully deployed), but it will be left off in existing sites. There is an admin option to enable it on the site rules tab.

We're also adjusting the throttling mechanism, to allow for burstier usage. So instead of getting a rolled up newspaper in the face if you try to answer more than one question in 3 minutes, we hold off until you try to post a whole bunch questions/answers/comments in a sustained manner.

Relax reputation limits on tag creation

Bootstrap mode

We're making it allow for burstier usage

Authentication

Email-password logins, yay! New sites will default to allowing both OpenID and email-password logins while existing sites will be left OpenID only, there's an admin option to change it on the site rules tab.

The implementation of account recovery allows any user that has entered their email address (including unregistered users) to have a recovery link sent to their email account.

Account recovery

OpenID login page cleanup

Formatting issue with safari

Email-Password logins

Authentication changes that should fix the random logouts (redux)

Assorted Bug Fixes

StackExchange now serves compressed content

All of the CSS is served in one big blob

Logo/theme/favicon versioning (redux)

Bronze badges in recent badges

Subjective question warnings

Unblock Slurp (redux)

Improved sidebar hiding: Just delete everything in them.

Close
in community user's profile

Down votes no longer make a question answered

Correct flair icon URL when served to remote sites

Ask page inconsistency

Fix robots.txt encoding

Update view counts more consistently

Migration

Migration to beta 6 should be largely transparent: both email-password log-ins and bootstrap mode will be disabled by default for all existing sites. There were some minor CSS changes to the header (removed max-width), and to the home page display of questions with accepted answers (they had incorrect padding), so you may want to double-check those after the migration.

meta.stackexchange.com got migrated today: Monday January 18th and should things continue to run smoothly the rest of the sites will be migrated Wednesday morning (January 20th) between 9:00am and 12:pm EST (UTC-4).

We will once again be employing load balancer trickery that should mean that your site should not experience any downtime; however, if your site is flaky Wednesday morning, keep in mind that we're doing a migration and things might misbehave for a little bit.

Status Tags

We're going to sweep through the bugs/feature-requests and update their tags once the migration is finished and you can actually use the features we're describing here.

It seems like your making it much harder then it should be. Entering wpa passwords is easy, even if they are long.
